Kenya Gathiruini AA Washed – Filter Roast

Pomegranate, Blueberry, Grape

Light Roast

A vibrant washed Kenyan coffee with juicy apricot sweetness, bright lemon acidity and a smooth nougat finish.

Clean and lively in the cup, with the fruit-forward character and refreshing acidity Kenya is known for, balanced by a soft, lingering sweetness.

Gathiruini is one of 13 wet mills that make up the Komothai Coffee Growers Cooperative Society, established in 1956 and representing more than 11,000 smallholder farmers across Kenya's Kiambu County.

The region's high altitude, rich red soils and cool highland climate provide excellent conditions for growing exceptional coffee. At Gathiruini, ripe cherries are selectively handpicked and delivered to the wet mill the same day, before being fermented for 8–12 hours, washed and slowly sun-dried on raised beds.

This careful approach to picking and processing helps preserve the clarity, sweetness and bright acidity that make washed Kenyan coffees so distinctive.
