Cajamarca’s fertile Andean soil and high elevations create ideal growing conditions, producing coffees with clarity and complexity. In the cup, expect a delicate balance of stewed peach, fresh rose and jasmine, with a refined, tea-like finish.
Grown by Nevado Palacios Carrasco and family at Finca El Cedro, this lot reflects the family’s meticulous attention to detail and deep care for the land it comes from. Alongside their ongoing focus on quality and processing innovation, the family are actively involved in forest conservation around the farm, helping preserve the remarkable landscape that shapes this coffee.
This coffee was sourced in partnership with Café Imports and is a beautiful example of the exceptional micro-lots emerging from Peru’s evolving specialty coffee landscape.

Nevado Palacios Carrasco and his family have been producing coffee at Finca El Cedro in Cajamarca since 2011. Situated high in the Peruvian Andes, the farm benefits from fertile soils, high elevations and a climate well suited to growing exceptional coffee.
Coffee is selectively harvested, depulped, washed and dried, with careful attention given to every stage of production. Alongside their commitment to quality, the family are deeply invested in caring for the land around them, maintaining forest conservation areas and producing their own compost for use on the farm.
