Bisal Munti - India

Blueberry | Lemon | Forest Honey

Light/Medium Roast

A fruit-forward and complex lot from Karnataka

Bisal Munti is a family-owned estate in Malavalli, Karnataka, sitting at 650 meters elevation. Despite its super low altitude, the farm produces high-quality specialty lots, by growing their plants alongside Areca palms and pepper, creating a shaded microclimate that enhances the coffee's flavour profile. We were impressed by its complexity and intense fruitiness. Truly some of the best Indian lots we’ve tasted so far.

This lot underwent a carbonic maceration for 48 hours, before drying in the sun for 14 to 21 days. This controlled anaerobic fermentation, supported by yeast inoculation, enhances consistency and clarity while promoting deeper complexity and a more effective mucilage breakdown.
