Two Cafés, One Approach

It’s been a big start to the year, with two new Allpress cafés opening their doors across the globe – each shaped by its neighbourhood, but grounded in the same approach to coffee, design, and hospitality.

In January, we opened in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley. Tucked just off the James Street precinct on Robertson Street, the café is designed as a neighbourhood space first – somewhere to slow down, connect, and settle in with a damn good coffee. Alongside our signature blends and rotating single origins, the menu brings in local collaborators, with pastries from Sprout Artisan Bakery and gelato from Rose.

Now, we’re bringing that same intent to central London. Opened in early May on Cowcross Street, Allpress Farringdon sits just above Smithfield Market, in one of the city’s most historic food districts. Designed as a purpose-built espresso bar, it’s a coffee-first space focused on quality, consistency, and the rhythm of daily rituals – from a quick stop-in to a moment to reset.

Across both spaces, you’ll find what we do best: our core blends alongside a seasonal lineup of single origins, roasted and brewed with precision. To mark the Farringdon opening, we’re pouring something special – a Pink Bourbon from producer Jesus Arbey Iquira in Huila, Colombia. It’s a layered cup with jammy cranberry, soft florals, and a gentle, spiced finish.

The offering extends beyond the cup. In Brisbane, the focus is local and collaborative. In London, the menu includes a mix of in-house bakes – from banana bread and savoury scones to tray bakes and cookies – alongside pastries from Pavilion.

While each café reflects its surroundings, there’s a shared design language across both. Created in collaboration with Deidra Hodgson in London and Foolscap in Brisbane, the spaces lean into natural materials and considered detail – warm timbers, clean lines, and a balance of functionality and comfort that feels unmistakably Allpress.

Whether you’re in Brisbane or London, you’ll find the same approach – considered spaces, quality coffee, and daily rituals done well.
